Almost Live

From 1984 thru 1999 there was a local comedy show called 'Almost Live'. Pat Cashman, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Nancy Guppy, Tracey Conway, John Keister and more did sketch comedy for an hour, twice a week. One of my favorite sketches dealt with the big hair and the big shoulder pads and the overblown make-up of the '80's. They dubbed their shade of eye-shadow "Lynnwood Blue".

yesterday, a 2006 ION:

Oh yeah, baby!

So, what--you bought a collapsible wheel and you're going to get rid of the Mazdaratti van and get an Ion--or is this the new color you're going for in your next dye job (yarn, not hair, that is) -- or, what?? I'm just looking for the knitting-related content and it's eluding me. Just here to keep you on your toes. Hugs, Embe

I think Mary's on to something - I love the idea of Lynwood Blue hair and you guys wouldn't even have to bleach yours (hair that is) to get that electric color. And you could knit a garment to match. Wouldn't that be special?

LOL! I miss that show. Sometimes I still get the West Side Story-like song about Factoria stuck in my head when I shop at the Target there.

Now waaaaaait just a gosh darn, gol' dang minute! You two have a blog?!!! When did this craziness happen? I am so pleased! I read all the entries (so far) today and am looking forward to more. Kewl.

P.S. Loved "Almost Live." Unique, funny, local--what more could you ask for? Except constantly finding yourself standing in line at the grocery store behind Bill Nye because you'all happened to live in the same neighborhood, which did happen.
