Snow Day AGAIN

It started about 3pm yesterday ~ snow, in April. It usually doesn't snow much in Seattle, maybe once or twice a year, and then not much coverage. This snow season seems to never end. It started early and stayed way past it's welcome. Last Saturday it was 80 degrees in some areas around Puget Sound. Today, one week later, snow. A 50 degree drop? What the...?

Poor spring flowers...
The Hood
The Garden the Next Morning
The tree outside the kitchen window.
That's a lot of snow. Too much. Go away now. Shoo.

We easily got 2 inches of snow last night, and it's still hanging around on everything that isn't street or sidewalk. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to spend the weekend in jammies with old movies on the TV, sigh.

If you want to commiserate with someone, talk to TMK. She said the "F" word a lot yesterday.

And thennnnn, 2010 gets canceled - just when I'm a fully-fledged member. Geeez. On top of that I LIKE SNOW - but the sun came out here after the meeting was canceled and melted it all. I was PROMISED snow as they say in the U.K. Shucky Darns!

For once, Seattle makes Minnesota look balmy. I shouldn't say anything, as I doubt we've had our last.

R-I know...your photos and mine are complete opposite ends of the spectrum! I hear you are still having cooler temps! I won't say how nice it is here on Maui!

I'll be glad when the temps start warming back up again there...the trees/flowers/etc. must be so confused!

I just figure this is winter's last hurrah, and if we wait it out, we will win! Your pictures are quite beautiful, too, if only it weren't April! =)
